Yolo Rainbow Families Summer Camp
The purpose of this camp weekend is to create an experience where families can feel safe and enjoy the lovely Sierra wilderness without worrying about whether their identities are supported. To make that possible, all families who are committed to supporting transgender, non-binary, and gender-nonconforming people are welcome to join us!
You do not have to have children to enjoy our family camp, and we take a very expansive view of what it means to be a family, so if you're wondering whether your family structure counts, yes, it does! However, everyone attending should keep in mind that children of all ages are an important part of this event, so we expect everyone attending to be welcoming of them and not engage in activities that aren't appropriate for children to be a part of.
Trained Camp staff will facilitate the various activities over the weekend and also include an on-site medical person in case of minor injuries (First aid & CPR certified). However, Camp staff are not a substitue for adult supervision. All attendees under 18 must have a designated Responsible Adult attending the camp with them for the duration of the event.
