We realize for some isolation is tough, Now More than Ever Community

For those of us in communities that struggle with acceptance these times can be tough. For our Asian fellows stigma is rearing it's ugly head as is has historically for minority groups in other times of health outbreaks. Those in the LGBTQ community are familiar with this, having navigated the AIDS outbreak.  Remember to always be an UpStander and call out intolerance.

Now is the time to support each other on social media, through text and phone calls, even through the charming but always welcome note card. Many in the LBGTQ community rely on the support of the groups they frequent which are not meeting now. Our own Davis LGBTQ youth and Yolo Rainbow Family support groups have been canceled but we will be reaching out and checking in.

We remind all that our businesses are especially affected in this time. Remember to continue to support those business that have been community partners in the efforts to promote safe and welcoming spaces. Reach out to see if you can purchase gift cards and keep your memberships if you can.

Most importantly we wish for everyone to remain healthy and mentally safe. We are here to support and listen
