On December 4th 2016, hundreds gathered...
…to address concerns over Trump presidency.
Hundreds of Davis residents concerned about the impact of a Trump presidency on friends, neighbors and colleagues turned out for a community meeting on Sunday to share information and ideas and plan for the next four years.
Some 350 people filled the Davis Senior Center on Sunday afternoon for several hours of discussion. Of particular concern were President-elect Donald Trump’s proposal to deport millions of undocumented residents, hostility and hate crimes directed at Muslims and Latinos, possible infringement of LGBT and reproductive rights and the empowerment of white supremacists.
